Customer Review: Let me first say that you need to read the whole book first. I know a lot of people that are excited to start and they are really dont read all the book. This is the only way that you are going to really the results that your body needs and want. I believe that is why a lot of people call the book a crock. Also please buy the companion book because it is great to take to the grocery store.
A friend of mine that has cancer daughter bought her this book. I am so fortunate that I picked up the book off her coffee table and flip through the pages. The best thing that has ever happen to me and my husband. It meant for us cleaning out our food pantry. I am a O and husband is a B blood type. If you do this change you need to have your family on board. Especially if their is different blood types in your home.
It is expensive at first, because you will have to give away or gradually stop using your avoid foods. We gave away a lot of stuff. My family started right away. I stopped coffee right away which if you know me I was a Starbucks addict. I still have a balance on my card which I will use for soymilk. I had already stop using splenda, boy after I stop their stock will go down(smile)
We are going in our third week and now that we have all our food in the pantry.
What I really like is I am never hungry. Before I started this blood type diet and I dont want to say diet because it is just a change of the way of eating. There is so much food to eat and I promise you will never be hungry. Before I started this process I felt 75% of myself. I am 50+ and now I can say I am 100% of energy in these short weeks. I have lost weight and I am going to start by exercising in a couple of days.
Buy and Read this book, I wish I would have known about this a long time a go.

Customer Review: This book is SO boring. It took me 2 weeks to get past the first 2 pages, then another 3 months to read half the book. I have to finish this piece of crap by the end of summer (school assignment), and the district is making us do an 8 page packet! However, this book is good for something. If your having trouble sleeping, don't take pills, read this book, I guarantee you'll be asleep by the end the fist paragraph.

Customer Review: I notice that most of the reviews for Moore's THE BASIC PRACTICE OF STATISTICS have been written by students. I found these reviews insightful to read. My students (like the ones who composed the reviews) are not math majors and do NOT want to enroll in a statistics course.
Being sensitive to that fact, I spent a great deal of time selecting a statistic text. I had several concerns which directed me toward adopting Moore's text:
1. Oftentimes, one can find typos in textbooks. This isn't a major problem, but if there is a typo in a formula, the problems for students are enormous! If the professor is from the math or statistics department, he/she can quickly catch the error and explain it to the students. If the professor is from the social sciences, he/she is less likely to catch the error. I've actually found errors in statistics textbooks. These critical errors usually can be found in books which are written by social scientists (someone like me). Thus, I've concluded that stat books written by statisticians are less apt to have typos than stat books written by social scientists. Moore is a statistician with a considerable reputation.
2. I needed a book with excellent graphic illustrations. A good graphic will help a student understand a complex statistical concept better than the written word. Moore's text is filled with great graphics that explain complex concepts. Page 347 is a great example and has produced an epiphany for several students.
3. I needed an introductory book that included information on control charts. Moore offers this. Frankly, I haven't found another intro stat book that does this.
I've reviewed a large number of statistic textbooks. In my estimation, Moore offers the best book for non math majors.

Customer Review: This book is a good book to introduce students to differential equations with applications. It also has a solutions manual so that students can check to see if their answers are correct. It may not be the perfect book, but overall it's a good book. I would actually recommend its use.

Customer Review: This book was suggested to me by a friend who absolutely raved about its comic genius. Well, I couldn't wait to read it! Afterall, we have fairly similar taste in books.
After forcing myself to get through the first 100 pages, hoping it would get better, I just had to stop. This book was hands-down, the LEAST funny book I have ever read in my entire life. Eventually, trying to actually read it and not skim became completely impossible.
The story jumps from location to location so much that I wondered what was even going on and why the author chose to throw in the "bar" location. The main character is horrendously annoying and not even in a funny way, in a grotesque, childish manner. And God help you during the breaks in which Ignatius writes page after page of intensely boring "stories". This book was much too over-the-top for me and I agree with another reviewer that unless you're into "farts and burps" and finger licking this book is not for you.
