Customer Review: I picked this book up for a little light entertainment, and I was quite simply blown away by the talent of the author, Sophie Kinsella! I was captured by her story and main character from the very beginning. Becky Bloomwood is the essence of the compulsive shopper's dark side that lingers in all of us. (Well, maybe not all of us -- but it sure lingers in me!)
Her plotting was intense! Every time I thought she had written herself into a corner, Ms. Kinsella brought the story to an even greater level of tension. Becky Bloomwood was perfectly drawn. As crazy as she was, I understood her every motivation -- even though I was cringing as she messed things up over and over again.
If you are searching for an escapist read that will thoroughly entertain you, I highly recommend Confessions of a Shopaholic.
The best recommendation I can give you is this: I've begun to order every single one of Sophie Kinsella's books from Amazon.com -- and I consider it money well spent! (Certainly, it's just what Becky would have done!!)

Customer Review: This has become my current favorite self-development/motivational book. I've purchased so many books of this type, but always ended up feeling like something was still missing, or I didn't quite get, and end up buying other books in the hopes one of the them would unlock whatever it was I was trying to resolve. I've read it twice in the last 3 weeks, scribbling notes all over it, and I think somewhere inside is the key to that 'thing' I've been searching for. Not sure what exactly what that thing is, but situations that would've been stressful for me [recently] have completely vanished, I realized in hindsight.
As far as personal developement goes I've made tremendous gains, and the urge to keep looking for the next book has vanished and I plan on reading it again in the near future.
I think it's all in the framing. Finley has a way of writing that combines good NLP with the lyricalness of, say, John O'Donohue.

Customer Review: Legal information can seem confusing to the common person which is why this book was written. You need to understand how to find laws, regulations and court cases (if you are representing yourself in court). This is great even if you d not go to court because it makes you a smarter more diverse individual.
This book gives you a straight forward resource on how to find the laws and regulations, how to read the citations, and how to use the law library. It is good for lawyers, judges, paralegals or the layman. It is packed with tons of useful information.
I recommend it to everyone who has to decide if things are legal or not.
Footnote: Nolo press is the best company that produces law books for the common person. They are always easy to read and pact with good advice.

Customer Review: What a great book! Fishman's book gives a comprehensive overview of a subject only one in a thousand knows anything about. The Public Domain.
The public domain consists of art, music, literature, software, etc. that belongs to no one and can be repurposed by anyone for other use.
If you and your community group wanted to stage a musical version of Tom Sawyer set in the year 2502, you can do this very easily as Tom Sawyer (and all of Mark Twain's works) are in the public domain. There are no licensing fees.
Fishman gives you a methodology for finding and locating works and for understanding how to track them down and protect yourself should someone want to press a claim against (most likely spurious)
Highly recommended.
