Customer Review: Stacie Vander Pol has written a book that will save you a lot of time. I had planned to form a publishing company for my first book, but after discovering CreateSpace and BookSurge, I began evaluated those options instead. Since I had already decided that my marketing efforts would be directed only at Amazon, their tight connection with Amazon.com made them both very attractive to me. After reading their websites at length, and trying to evaluate their relative strengths, I was leaning in the direction of CreateSpace, but I still felt that I needed to spend a lot more time evaluating them before making the final decision.
In Chapter 6, in which Stacie details and evaluates in a very concise way, the pluses and minuses of Large and Medium Firms offering self-publishing services(including BookSurge and CreateSpace), she capsulized the advantages of each in a way that made my decision an easy one.
Chapter 6 is my favorite in the book, and will more than justify your purchase of this book, particularly if you are just beginning the process of deciding the best way to get your book to print. But trust me, you will find a lot of valuable information in this easy-to-read book.
I had previously read the top 8 books on self-publishing offered on Amazon, and found that Stacie's book fills a niche not covered before she wrote it - a great summary of valuable advice on getting started with your book, and the vital important Chapter 6, a time-saving synopsis of your primary self-publishing choices that would probably take you 20-30 research hours to compile yourself.
Stacie's book will save you from that onerous task. Read this book instead and save that valuable time !

Customer Review: This book is full of clear, common-sense talk, just the thing I needed when I bought it. Dealing with an aging parent can be tricky in the best of circumstances, and at worst can threaten the whole family structure. The level-headed advice in this book can help to keep things on track, and can help family members to develop the best plan for dealing with their particular situation, as it did with us.
I did a "speed-read" of the book in the 24 hours before a family conference. I did note a fair amount of repetition of ideas in the book, but that is not necessarily a bad thing: if you're reading just the chapters that seem most relevant, then that's where those ideas need to be mentioned. One bonus: reading the book made it clear to me that I need to be doing some elder planning for myself, and with my own children, to make things easier for them later.

Customer Review: I have no qaulms about admitting that I am a hopeless romantic. I'm also the type of person that likes pretty landscapes, good old fashioned values, and all the light and love inbetween. These books really hit the spot, and the first few of this collection are divine.
The story begins with two unlucky partners who wed for convenience: a pregnant widow and a widower trying to raise a daughter on his own. They're out in the plains struggling to survive, so why not get married for the security?
But alas, in comes the romance and this little family grows closer and closer.
The series continues as the family grows, with a variety of well-rounded characters and plots that get at that slightly dramatic spot I can't help but love.
They're quietly written with beautiful, simple descriptions and lots of reference to God, faith, and spirituality.

Customer Review: I¨m not a vintage/fleamarket style person when it comes to interiors, but it's refreshing to see that personal and unique homes can be created without a lot of money. A lot of ideas can be picked up here. You don't have to have a home that's entirely Bazaar/vintage style, but quite a lot of us do have a piece or two that can come to use in our home and make it our own. A lot of pictures - a book that gives you value for money.

Customer Review: This book is basically for the "beginner decorator" that wishes to decorate in the more "romantic style".
Advanced decorators might find most of the information redundant.
However, if a person is a "beginner" in this area of decorating, then they will find this book very inspiring.
The photos are simply amazing---just as the photos in the magazine ROMANTIC HOMES are.... Colorful, large and bright!
The book begins with an information chapter, explaining the purpose of this book.
Basically, this book is like a mini-workshop because it shows the reader how to put together a "Decorating Journal", in order to organize their decorating style , from start to finish.
Thus, each Chapter in this book covers an area that is linked to the decorators' journal.
Most advanced decorators (of the romantic style) already know what they like, so this is why I state that this book is mainly for the beginning decorator.
This book is quite expensive, so if you can find this book "on sale", I think it would be worth while, even for the advanced decorator...Why?----Answer: because of the amazing photographs.
I think the photos in this book are what are truly amazing. The information itself, is slightly too basic though.
