The Moon Cafe was one of those Chinese diners found in every West Coast city in the last century. Cheap eats with basic food. $1.95 breakfast and $2.95 lunch specials. San Diego's Moon Cafe is now a trendy yougurt shop in the center of the Gaslamp Quarter. The construction crew let me shoot this video after they took down the sign. Vlog #38 takes me to NankinMachi ???, aka, Chinatown in Kobe. It's apparently not one of the most impressive Chinatowns in Japan, but I suppose the 40,000+ Chinese residents of Kobe may disagree! It's always busy and it's always about food. If you want good and cheap eats....Chinatown is the place to be! Kobe's China Town is located in the Motomachi area which is close to the central hub of Sannomiya. Loads of cool restaurants, street stalls, bars and pubs are scattered throughout the area. A street behind kao san road, lined with cheap eats and singer. One place worth mentioning is the open shop with bowls of curry and random stir-frys on show and a few tables set out in front.
