Customer Review: I love how psychologists like to explain behavior to people assuming that all men are alike and all women are alike which just isn't true. Don't buy this book and don't buy Men are From Venus by John Gray. Buy Socionics by Rod Novichkov, figure out what personality type you are and who your best match is then get that person in you life-only then will you see that communication problem has nothing to do with whether you're a woman or a man (another words, it's not your problem, it's that your relationship is THE problem).

Customer Review: You need this book as a guide to take to the grocery story to make sure you are getting the right foods as well as the foods that the recipes in the companion diet books call for. We have referred to it every time we shop to be sure we're doing it right. Today's food labeling makes it a challenge. The best advice in the book is to check the ingredients to see where the fats and carbs are really coming from - don't just rely on the numbers on the Nutrition Facts on the package label.

Customer Review: My first and last time reading anything by Brian Freeman. It started out pretty good, but then when he got to describing the lesbian Nancy Carver, his homophobia and hatred of lesbians came raging out in his completely unrealistic and stereotypical description of her. From there, the entire book went downhill. He painted every single other adult female as surrealistically beautiful with incredible bodies. Apparently he's never seen an actual female police officer: they don't fit his stereotype. His Hispanic police officer in Las Vegas sounded more like a pimp than a cop. And the ending just cracked me up. His own wife and her ex-husband?? Give me a break!

Customer Review: I'm not gay, so I'm for sure not into reading about gay/lesbian encounters. While I enjoyed "Coffee Will Make You Black" b/c I'm a sucker for coming of age stories, I did not have the same satisfaction with this sequel. I understand the point Ms. Sinclair is trying to make with how even as adults we are all trying to find ourselves in this big world and while that's all well and good I could have done without the details of the love scenes and other encounters. For example, the scene where she's finger-f***ing some other woman was a little unnecessary.

Customer Review: I picked up this story at my in-laws. I read the prologue and was instantly hooked! What? How? Where? What is going on?!
The story itself picks up 2 years after the craziness of the prologue, and aside from terrible dreams, we aren't let on to what happened back then. Which is fine. The plot of the story, such as it is, is actually very good.
However, the convoluted story telling, the absolutely unbelievable way that characters met and bonded, the snidely-whiplash bad guy, and the overall feeling of "this story must be continued from a bunch of other books I haven't read" just made me want to brush my brain after I read it.
I did stick it out, not sure why. I finished it. And I won't be reading anything by Iris Johansen any time soon.
