19-year-old handyman at Your Black Muslim Bakery, a well-known bakery chain raided by police on Friday, admitted to authorities that he ambushed and fatally shot an Infidel Oakland Post editor. Islamic faith-based company member brutally killed an African American journalist named Chauncy Bailey Police had publicly disclosed that "firearm evidence" confiscated during four raids on the Muslim bakery shop; was connected to the slaying of the veteran journalist. The pre-dawn raids were part of a broader, yearlong investigation involving "murder, robbery and kidnapping done in the name of Islam," said Oakland Assistant Police Chief Howard Jordan. Seven people were arrested, including Yusuf Bey IV -- the son of the bakery's founder. All were being held on charges including suspicion of homicide, robbery and assault. -- More Information on the company "Your Black Muslim Bakery": The late Yusuf Bey founded Your Black Muslim Bakery in 1968 as a haven for struggling urban families. It sells natural baked goods alongside books by Malcolm X and other black leaders and is famed for its bean and carrot pies. Bey's reputation later took a hit as he defended himself against rape allegations in Alameda County. Most of those charges were later dropped, and one was pending when he died of cancer in 2003. Bey's 21-year old son, Yusuf Bey IV, then took control of the original bakery and several franchises. In November 2005, Bey IV was accused by police of being the ringleader in a group of black Muslims from the bakery who smashed liquor bottles in Oakland corner stores and berated the Muslim owners for selling alcohol to the black community, because alcohol is forbidden by Islam. In 2006, Bey IV was charged with assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly trying to use his BMW to run down several bouncers after being thrown out of a San Francisco strip club. He also faced felony charges in Solano County for allegedly fraudulently using false identification to buy a car. In addition, Lt. Joyner said there had been many violent incidents connected to the bakery since the elder Bey's death. The incidents appeared to be over financial struggles and power struggles involving the bakery, he said, and many of those crimes are still unsolved. Customer Review: I grabbed this book from my local bookstore after being drawn in by the title. I've always had an interest in economics as whole, but never took the time to really dig myself into some reading material (besides the voluminous textbook I was forced to trudge through in college).
Mr. Harford does a satisfactory job of trying to explain the devil in the details behind many of society's microeconomic transactions. Like a few of the other reviewers, I did find the text to be a bit dry, but maybe it's a cultural thing (I believe he is English). That being said, I think it's fair to say that after a second reading, one should be able to have a fairly strong grasp of the ideas the author puts forward. Tim takes us through economic ideas such as marginal value, externalities and scarcity and presents multiple examples of these in action. I particularly enjoyed his challenges put forth to a lot of popular ideas (Anti-Globalization, Environmentalism), based on standard economic thought.
I believe this book is an excellent starting point for further study of the world of economics.

I absolutely loved Predator and have a feeling that the one star reviews from people on this board either 1) didn't get the point of the book, as it was a bit complex, or 2) are simply looking for some tired old regurgitated prepackaged crime story that follows a recipe to a predictable end. This is never the case with Cornwell, who constantly amazes me with her originality, and timeliness of her original research.
